“Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all.” (Acts 2:41 NLT)

If there’s one person within reach of your church who doesn’t have a relationship with Jesus, you need to keep reaching out. And that means your church needs to keep trying to grow. You can never stop growing as long as people still need to know Jesus. You can never stop reaching out. God doesn’t bless churches that refuse to grow.

That’s not just the responsibility of your pastor or your church staff. It’s everyone’s responsibility. It’s your responsibility.

The Bible says the early Church grew by leaps and bounds. “Those who believed what Peter said were baptized and added to the church that day—about 3,000 in all” (Acts 2:41 NLT). The early Church grew on its very first day! And it just kept on growing.

That’s the kind of church God blesses.

Unfortunately, sometimes people get comfortable in their churches. They don’t want to see it change. They don’t want to see growth. They stop inviting their friends to church — and the church dies.

The people of your community need Jesus. You have friends who will spend eternity separated from God unless someone tells them the Good News.
