Revelation 3:15-16 (NKJV)
“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.”

** On Fire For Christ?**

When you think of on-fire, committed believers who are making a real impact, how many can you list? Take away from that list anyone you do not personally know. Now take pastors off of that list. How many are left? If you have more than one or two names on your list, you have been blessed. The rest of us are left to ask why our lists do not include all of our Christian friends!

The problem is that many of us attend church, talk the talk, but fail in our walk. We may go on retreats, or attend studies and conferences, that provide mountain-top experiences, but in our daily lives we do nothing to distinguish ourselves in His service. In truth, there is not much of a difference between us and people who are fully in the world. We are the lukewarm Christians that Christ speaks of.

He makes it perfectly clear that it is not enough for us to simply be good people or to just get by, yet that is exactly what many of us are doing. Is that how you want to live your life? Just getting by? When the pastor steps forward to eulogize at your funeral should he simply tell people that you were a good man or woman? Do you want him to say there was no difference between how you lived your life and how the rest of the world does? That would be a very sad statement and it is not one that I want made about me.

Ask God to change your heart and set it on fire for Him. Ask for eyes that seek out the lost and a heart to share the Gospel of Christ.

Do you make a serious impact for Christ with your life? When people think of you, do they think of you as simply a good person or do they associate your goodness with Christ?

Make an effort over the next week to pass glory directly to God for any good thing you do. Think about why God has placed you on earth and what His purpose for you might be.
